Jenny Lin is a Chinese-American actor based in New York City. She was born and raised in Brooklyn. She completed a two-year conservatory at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and made her first theatrical debut in 2018 in the off-broadway show Flying Tigers Flying Away. She participated in several acclaimed independent films, including Lucky Fish, Exposed, and Mother Tongue.
Since 2021, she worked as a programmer at the New York Asian Film Festival. She spearheaded the Asian American and Narrative Shorts Showcase initiative and formed NYAFF's Asian American Filmmaker Forum group with the hopes of bridging the Eastern and Western filmmaking industries together. She aims to work closely within and beyond the Asian American/Asian community to empower diverse voices and perspectives.
Before transitioning to the film industry, she had a career in fashion design and a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has knowledge and experience in denim, knitwear, childrenswear, sportswear, and graphic arts.
